Did you all tune in to the closing ceremonies in London last night? Feels like the olympics flew by, and now we’ll have to wait four more years until we get to watch the summer games again. Jenn here, and no matter how old I am, I seem to get the same feeling watching the Olympics that I did as a kid: That’s going to be me someday. Of course, now it’s more of a metaphor! In any case, this year’s games left me feeling super inspired and reminded me that great things can be achieved through hard work. And for those of us without medals, there’s still plenty of room for gold in our lives. Right now I’m loving gold paired with cream, and dying for a set of gold flatware. Even a can of gold spray paint can transform an old piece of furniture, plastic toy, or tree branch into a piece of art. This metallic hue is so fresh and fun these days — there’s a reason it’s reserved for top honors! And you don’t necessarily have to break the bank to incorporate a little gold into your decor. Can you believe the beautiful white and gold bowl on our styleboard is only $13 on etsy? So when it comes to housewares and accessories, don’t be afraid to go for the gold!
