If you could choose any dessert, what would it be? A light-as-air chocolate soufflé? A big slice of birthday cake with frosting between the layers? Or how about a warm berry pie, pulled straight from the oven… For me, it’s really a no brainer. Ice cream. I love it any time, day or night, chocolate, vanilla, cherry garcia, cookies & cream…you name it, I’ll take it. And being pregnant has only made my cravings more acceptable, so let’s just say that my freezer currently shares a major resemblance to the local ice cream parlor. Aren’t the icy flavors such pretty shades? Classic pistachio was the inspiration for today’s board – its whispering minty green the jumping-off point for a summer fête designed with gilded details and feminine flourishes. I think a bridal shower with pistachio bonbons, armfuls of white tulips, a perfectly-set champagne bar and teacups waiting to be filled with icy scoops would fit the bill just perfectly, don’t you? Hope you all have a lovely Monday – and stop by this afternoon for today’s edition of Bring it Home!

Usually I would completely agree. I love love LOVE ice cream. It is SO DELICIOUS! But sometimes, I crave my grandmother’s, made from the heart, flour-less chocolate tort. It is SO GOOD!! I need to learn how to make it….

I also prefer ice cream over cakes, cookies and pies. However, coming in at a close second on summer desserts is key lime pie.

This collage is so lovely I hardly know which image is my favorite. I’m fairly obsessed with that teacup though so I think it’s the winner for me. But my goodness each photo is equally stunning. What a great job you all did with this! I have a small tub of pistachio ice cream in the freezer right now and I think I’ll just go grab a scoop of it! Thanks for the inspiration! ~ Jennifer

What a beautiful shade of green! I wish I saw this color more often. It would be a great shade for bridesmaid dresses, stationary or favors. So pretty.

I love this color and all of your images, but now I want pistachio gelato. Luckily I’m meeting a friend at a bakery in 45 minutes that has a delicious twice baked chocolate croissant that will help ease the pain. 🙂
