On Saturday night, we had a casual little dinner party, and as my friend Lauren scanned our almost-entirely beige, cream and white living room, she posed the question: when you want to move beyond your beloved neutrals, what’s your go-to splash of color? I thought about it for a second, and realized that although I love touches of blue as serene accents in our home decor and I’ve been craving emerald green in my wardrobe this season, I somehow always go back to pink. Whether it’s a vivid raspberry that oozes femininity or a barely-there blush that could almost be classified as a neutral itself, pink is the one shade that I never tire of and that seems to feel so right every single season. For fall, I’m loving it in various shades mixed with a moody indigo. The combo was at its best in Erdem’s 2013 Resort collection in which navy and fuchsia shades mingled on patchwork, lace and floral appliqués to dizzyingly romantic effects. This combo is the perfect blend of sophistication with just a hint of bohemian thrown in — exactly how I’m wanting to dress right now. I’d love to hear in the comments below: season after season, what hue do you always return to?

Love this colour combo, they compliment eachother so well.
Pink is also back in both fashion and interiors.

This is so pretty! I’m starting to realize that navy is my go-to color. I might need to get some more of it in my house, which is also mostly neutral. Thanks for the inspiration!

I have always been such a navy person, and I love that it adds depth and drama without being too bright!

I’ve always loved navy with a complimenting color of white, pink, or green. This past weekend I seen the movie “Baggage Claim” and the flight teams colors were navy and pink. Super cute color palette

This is such a great combo. Normally I would associate these colors with spring, but I think your presentation is very fall!

Thanks Alyssa! Yes, something about those moody indigo blues keeps it from feeling so summer prep, the way navy and pink sometimes can. So glad you love this seasonal take!

I would love to see a gorgeous fall table setting with these colors. The pink offsets the moodiness of the navy perfectly. Now if I can just convince my husband that pink is a neutral!

I love this so much! Definitely “pin worthy”. I’m in the midst of making over our master bedroom and these are the two colours I’m hoping to go with if everything goes according to plan (headboard is in garage in between coats as I type!).

I think it’s a very romantic choice of colours! Navy is a very intense colour that can be matched with pretty much anything! Love your choice of photos.
