Last weekend Camille and I discovered the best lemonade we’d ever tasted: all natural, hand-crafted Lala’s Lemonade made right here in Austin! We sampled the lavender-infused variety, and I have to admit that ever since that first cold glass I’ve had citrus on the brain. Lemon, lime, orange, or grapefruit — a citrus palette always feels right for spring. These punchy colors look great poolside (or even on a row of bridesmaids!) This year I’m loving a warmer, more muted version of this palette as opposed to last year’s acidic neon. I could see myself forgoing a floral centerpiece for a simple bowl of lemons at my next soirée…  and I’ll be needing an excuse to try out this recipe! What do you guys think? Is a citrus palette as refreshing to you?

Still into the citrus. I agree with you that a more muted palette is cooler and more modern. Almost like a dusty citrus. Can’t wait to make homemade lemonade this summer and add some ice tea for an Arnold Palmer. My fave drink!

Yes, Quinn! You hit the nail on the head. I actually toyed with the idea of naming this board “dusty citrus”! Just talking about Arnold Palmer yesterday while watching the Masters… I need to try his signature drink again!

Citrus colors are synonymous with warmer weather. Invigorating and refreshing!

Gorgeous. Where we live is completely void of color at the moment (no spring, all snow) this is inspiring!

Thanks, Julia. Hang in there — I hope spring is on it’s way to you soon!

    A citrus centerpiece sounds lovely!

Doesn’t it? And much easier to prepare than a floral arrangement, too!

Yellow is my favorite color of the season. I love wearing it with white, because it’s crisp – but also with neutrals like tan and taupe.

Cool! I usually pair it with white or denim — I’ll have to give tan/taupe a try.
