We talk a lot about finding inspiration around here… from changing weather to an unusual color pairing, we tend to seek it out at every possible opportunity. That said, every now and then something comes along that overwhelms us with inspiration and imagination, and yesterday evening a group of Austin’s most creative women gathered at the first ever Ruby Collaborative to achieve just that. The event (hopefully, the first of many) was hosted by Ana, Candice and Chelsea and brought us all together for a few hours of mixing, mingling and sharing of fabulous ideas. We were so inspired by the location and the lovely group of ladies there, that we knew we had to share some snapshots with all of you. Keep reading for more about the event, plus a glimpse of the lovely store where it took place!
The event was held at Take Heart, which is a relatively-new, remarkable boutique on Austin’s booming East Side. The shop owner, Nina, took a few minutes to share her inspirational story with the group, touching on the ways that fear and confidence played into her making a drastic career change. Her beautiful store alone spoke volumes on the fulfillment that following your dreams can bring, but she hammered home on some really valuable points, and did a great job opening the conversation up for all the women there.
Oh, and I forgot to mention the best part! I (Chanel) won a raffle and scored some great stationery and a beautiful cloth zip pouch, courtesy of Take Heart… woohoo!
