As much as I’ve loved these last few months of holiday revelry on the blog, decking the halls and indulging in comfort food faves… I am so ready to shake it all off and welcome in the NEW this month! (who’s with me?) January really is a time for clean slates and fresh starts, and as I wrote on Tuesday, I’ve been giving a lot of thought to my intentions for 2013. So, I decided to invite all of you along for the journey this month. I thought about naming our January series “A Brand New You,” but after giving it some thought, I decided that I actually like the old you way too much… this is really about accessing the inner resources that we already have, and daring to take the first steps towards being the healthiest, happiest, most creative selves we can be. We’ll be bringing in some amazing experts and entrepreneurs in the areas of health and wellness to share their wisdom, and we’ll be posting super healthy recipes and holistic beauty ideas within our regular series. If we start a few great new habits this month, just think about how much can be accomplished in the next 365 days! It’s a new year full of infinite possibility, and I’m so thankful that you’re all here to join us for the ride!

*gorgeous photos are all from this series by Robyn Thompson for Belmondo Organic Skin Care. For more about Robyn, read the interview we did with her here.

Wonderful idea! I’m looking forward to all of your posts and especially some healthy recipes since I’ve been eating everything in sight on my beach vacation! Thank God it’s too cold to wear a bikini here! Lol!

Haha, yes, the thought of a bikini in January is just a BIT intimidating! So excited that YOU’RE excited about what’s to come this month! xo

I love this – “I decided that I actually like the old you way too much…”

I always rebel against resolutions because I don’t want a “new” me, I want a “better” me. Looking forward to the series in 2013!

Exactly… who wants to completely reinvent themselves every single year? It’s all about keeping on dreaming, growing, and becoming a better version of who we really are.

Can’t wait for all of the goodies y’all will be sharing – LOVE it! I, for one, could certainly use a clean slate and some healthier, post-holiday habits. Yay for the New Year! Thanks Camille!

    XOXO,

Just love this idea. My resolution is to “take care of and love myself”. I think as a modern woman we work on perfecting too much, and not loving enough.

Love that, Hannah. It’s seems like we’re constantly striving (for something), and sometimes the best gift we can give others is to become the best, most loving/generous/happy person ourselves so we can then give to others…and it starts with being comfortable with who you are on the inside.

I like the four areas in your header image – fitness, skincare, nutrition, and balance – those are four I wouldn’t mind working on this year!
