Ever since reading this book as a little girl, I’ve had a love affair with Paris and its exports – croissants, striped shirts and Céline bags included. I finally got to go when my mom took me there on the ultimate high school graduation trip, and I’ll never forget the week we spent eating mont blancs at Angelina, touring Monet’s gardens in Giverny, sneaking into a fashion show, walking awestruck through the Musée d’Orsay, and stumbling upon countless other adventures. Adam and I went back a couple summers ago, and it was every bit as magical as I remembered. So every year on Bastille Day, I experience a tinge of longing to actually experience it in France, especially after reading Jordan’s account of their Bastille Day picnic at Versailles last year. Have any of you ever been to France for Bastille Day? What was it like? I’d love to hear…

By the way, Adam and I are off to a “childcare class” today – they cover such crucial topics as how to change a diaper, burp a baby, swaddling, etc. Should be hysterical to watch, and hopefully it’s a bit educational, too. I’ll let you know how it goes! Hope you all have a lovely Saturday, and enjoy my favorite links from the week!
