Though neutrals seem to be all the rage these days, it’s no secret that I’ve always had a deep love for bold patterns and rich textures, decadent sweets and unruly cocktails. Ashley here, and I suppose you could say my style sensibility is luxe-yet-bohemian. This particular photo shoot was inspired by the deep red color of a peony paired with an intricate Dries van Noten dress, and would translate beautifully into a bridal shower or wedding concept. Ashley Garmon was there to capture the girly fun, all set in my magical backyard.

I collaborated with Farah of I Love You hair on how we wanted to style hair and makeup on our incredible models. I absolutely love the way the over-the-top looks all came together. Candice is wearing Dries van Noten, Jennie Claire necklace and other necklaces from Sara Leete’s collection. Her amazing headpiece is made of amaryllis, peonies, poinsettia, hellebores and ranunculus.

I created the centerpiece using garden roses, peonies, hellebores, pansies, ranunculus, tulips and greens cut from my yard.

Betsy, our incredible bride, carried a full bouquet of deep red peonies, deep pink garden roses, deep pink ranunculus and apricot tulips. Oak leaves cut from my yard added a more organic feel.

Andrea from Bakesale is, in my opinion, the best little baker on the planet. She just gets it and her creations taste like tiny bites of heaven. With little more than a few inspirational photos from me, she made this incredible crepe cake topped with pomegranate seeds, chocolate donuts and a melt-in-your-mouth pear tart.

Betsy is wearing the most gorgeously intricate Dries van Noten dress — she is a very non-traditional bride with impeccable taste.  This is the type of dress that will hang in your closet for a lifetime and be passed down to your daughters.

None of this would have been possible without the awe-inspiring clothing from By George.  It is not a mystery that I have a long-standing love affair with this store and the people in it. Windsor (far right) is wearing Lanvin and her own shoes. Chelsea (second from the right) is wearing a lace dress from Raquel Allegra and Jennie Claire earrings.

What a feast for the senses! The dresses, the styling, the food…… but somehow your exquisite flowers outshine them all.
