Scenes from a Book Party + Brunch

Fall Flowers, Camille Styles book signing, Hotel Ella

So far, this book tour has been a crazy-fun, once-in-a-lifetime experience… and getting to meet so many longtime readers face-to-face has definitely been the highlight. If you’ve been following along on Instagram, you’ve caught glimpses here and there of the festivities, but I wanted to pop in with a full post about our latest party in my hometown: a sunshine-y brunch on the lawn of Hotel Ella complete with rockabilly tunes, deviled eggs, and the best bloody mary’s around. Click through for the fun moments captured by Kate Stafford... and looking forward to celebrating with lots more of you on our upcoming tour stops this season!

First: these blooms by Bricolage Florals made my heart flutter… especially when placed next to a tower of freshly-poured bellinis greeting guests at the entrance.

Hotel Ella made the best brunch spread full of delicious finger food bites, like these baby quiche with blue cheese and apples.

It was so fun having Phoebe at a signing with me! (though she did spend the entire day running in circles around the lawn and shrieking with joy as her grandparents tried in vain to keep up with her.)

No Southern gathering would be complete without a tray of deviled eggs!

We handed out these #CamilleStylesEntertaining bookmarks with each signed copy. (have you guys been using the hashtag to enter to win this killer grand prize?)

Jenn hand-lettered this cute little chalkboard sign that invited guests to get their books signed.

With the other woman of the hour, my dear friend Buff Strickland who photographed the entire book! Loved getting to toast our accomplishment… we did it!

Oversized mason jars made the perfect country-chic drink dispensers.

The Cold Irons got the party started with a great country-rock set and the perfect Austin-style vibe. (and shout-out to my big bro and his company TSV Sound & Vision for driving all the way from St. Louis to run sound for the party!)

It’s a party, so…

It still feels surreal to see people flipping through, reading, and talking about chapters of the book. Such an amazing feeling to think that what I poured into creating this book will inspire people to throw a party, cook something delicious, or add a beautiful touch to their homes.

Bloody Mary sippers abound.

For me, the highlight of every party is actually sitting at the signing table and having the chance to chat with every single person who’s come out to get their book signed, many of them longtime readers who I’m getting to meet in person for the first time.

It’s a CamilleStyles.com reunion! (from left) art director Jennifer Rose, production assistant Jessi, and former intern Jennifer.

Our production assistant Jessi’s accessories never disappoint.

My righthand woman, “helping” me sign books.

A sampling of Hotel Ella’s brunch menu: deviled eggs, salmon creme fraiche canapes, savory macaroons (maple syrup/bacon/walnut), ham gougeres, and baby quiche with blue cheese & apple.

Clink clink! (this is my go-to bellini recipe at home, by the way.)

With the entire CS team… loved celebrating with these girls!

Big thanks to Hotel Ella for making this party one for the books!
