Ingredients

  • 1 piece sourdough bread
  • 1/3 cup whole-milk ricotta cheese
  • 2 teaspoons honey, divided
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves, divided
  • flaky salt, to taste
  • Aleppo pepper, to taste (you can sub red pepper flakes, just go easy since they’re hot!)
  • 1/4 cup pistachios, roughly chopped

Instructions

  1. Toast the sourdough bread.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the ricotta with 1 teaspoon honey, 1/2 teaspoon thyme, and a pinch each of flaky salt and Aleppo pepper.
  3. Spread the ricotta mixture on the toast, then top with the remaining honey and thyme. Sprinkle over the chopped pistachios, and finish with a pinch of flaky salt and Aleppo pepper. Eat!
