DIY :: Poppin’ Bottles

The holidays just scream overindulgence, don’t they? It sounds crazy, but I’m almost at the breaking point where I’d be happy to not see another hors d’oeuvre or glass of wine for a very long time. As I attempt to turn the celebrating down just a few notches over the next couple of days, I figured I’d need some way to preserve my unfinished vino. These DIY crystal bottle stoppers took almost no time to make, and look super pretty atop a fancy bottle of bubbly or wine. • cork stoppers (available at Hobby Lobby)
• rock (check local specialty rock stores or bead shops)
• hot glue gun
• twine

1. Squeeze hot glue generously onto top of cork, and press down flattest side of rock.
2. Wind twine around top of cork two or three times, and secure with hot glue.
