Did you happen to catch us on Style Me Pretty earlier this week? Because we are still abuzz over it! With the help of flower extraordinaire, Kristen Caissie, we styled a wine tasting bachelorette party… with rosé, floral arrangements, and cheese plates all overflowing in girly abundance. Combined with dear friends, it all made for the most fabulous laughter-filled afternoon. Follow the jump to see some more of our favorite details, and be sure to stop by Style Me Pretty for the complete gallery, all captured by Michael Bullock… Be sure to take a peek at the behind-the-scenes video, too!
Kristen filled vases with coral peonies, David Austin garden roses, viburnum, and astilbe. The summer blooms in shades of blush paired perfectly with the pinks of the wines.
Rather than a structured display, we were feeling a more organic spread for all our cheeses & snacks. When putting together a cheese tray, we try to follow these rules of thumb: Serve one to two ounces of cheese per person, include a mix of fresh, aged, soft and hard cheeses, and arrange – and sample – the cheeses starting with the freshest and lightest, ending with the ripest and most intense.
Why rosé, you ask? Because it’s the prettiest and girliest of libations, of course! Be sure to provide plenty of glassware for each guest to try multiple wines.
To set up the tasting, create cute labels that identify each wine and offer some suggestions on what flavors might make delicious pairings. This beautiful calligraphy is by Pretty Pen Jen.
