Warm weather has arrived here in Austin, and I find myself craving a little getaway where I can don a bikini and sip mai tai’s by a pool. Perhaps that’s why I’m relishing the opportunity to plan a Palm Springs-inspired book launch bash for one of my fave clients this month, complete with midcentury geometric prints and a punchy color palette of grass green, lemon and tangerine. I’m envisioning desert-inspired florals, hipsters perching on acapulco chairs, and a seasonal menu brimming with citrus flavors. Sounds almost as good as hopping on a plane…

I love the little cactus centerpieces. What a great idea for those of us who are challenged with floral arranging.

@Rebecca – what a fantastic place to ring in your 30th! You should do it (and then share pics so we can all live vicariously!)
@ Amy – agreed…you really couldn’t ask for a more simple OR more chic centerpiece!

Oh wow, so fabulous. Even though I live in California, it has been raining all week, so thank you for bringing sunny inspiration to my day! This makes me eager for Summer days of bikinis and mojitos!
