When I spotted the incredible pop art-inspired cake {top left} in the latest issue of Martha Stewart Weddings, I began dreaming of a party bursting with Warhol’s colorful irony. How fun would this look be for a birthday party…or any other cause for celebration? Use a palette of bold primary colors combined with modern repetition of patterns…spots, stripes and squares are all fair game! Vegetable crudites & vintage soda bottles become little works of art when lined up in perfect rows; a towering cake hiding multicolored layers is an especially yummy surprise. And love love love these paint chip-inspired seating cards: pick up color strips from a hardware store & use white stickers to personalize with guests’ names!
