Last weekend A & I were in Napa for a good friend’s wedding, and I can’t tell you how refreshing it was to unplug and spend some time soaking up the crisp northern Cali air. We made it a long weekend and managed to squeeze an incredible amount of great food and amazing wine into a couple of days. Thought I’d share a few snapshots of my favorite moments…follow the jump!
I love strolling through St. Helena’s town square, browsing its charming shops and stopping for latté breaks at Napa Valley Roasting Co.
A trip to Napa Valley isn’t complete without a long leisurely lunch on the terrace at Auberge du Soleil. We shared super fresh sashimi followed by an incredible poached shrimp salad…plus sauvignon blanc soaked up with lots of french bread.
We stayed at Meadowood, and it was so picturesque and incredibly peaceful. We spent hours hiking the property and sitting on our front porch, watching the deer and wild turkey go by.
On our way to the airport, we made a pit stop at Bouchon for our last taste of Napa. I could have made an entire lunch from the perfect crusty french bread paired with salty butter. Going home was bittersweet…but it’s amazing how a couple days in Napa can totally renew my excitement for getting back to work. Where do all of you go to recharge?
