I woke up at our beach house this morning at 5am, threw on a fuzzy fleece pullover, and took my coffee out to the back patio in time to see the glowing gold moon over the ocean, just before it dipped behind the mountains to make way for daylight.

It was an awe-inspiring sight, and reminded me that – in times like these – the wonder of nature is truly food for the soul. I know some of y’all are feeling cramped in a small apartment or in a city-locked house (maybe with several family members) during this covid surge, and heading into a cold-weather season is daunting. So if you can make it outside today for a walk in a park, or drive to a hiking spot, may I suggest going for it? In my experience it’s amazing how it changes your entire perspective. If it’s pouring down rain (or snow) where you are, let nature leave you breathless through one of my favorite documentaries like Biggest Little Farm or My Octopus Teacher… they’re truly the next best thing. 😉

Hope you all had a cozy and delicious Thanksgiving! We’re gearing up to go full-out holiday on the site tomorrow — starting with my own nature-inspired decor this year. I can’t wait to share it with you guys! For now, have a beautiful Sunday and scroll on for my favorite reads from around the web this week…
