Weekend Notes

fall flowers, pear place settingThe arrival of Thanksgiving week brings with it a hint of slowing down around here; taking a break from the nonstop pace of the past few weeks and preparing to savor a few days of great food and a house full of family. And I, for one, could not be more ready. I had the best time in San Francisco this week, celebrating my book release there and spending time with some dear friends, but this weekend, there is really no place like home. So far, we’ve paid a visit to Santa (early, I know, but Phoebe couldn’t wait), bundled up for long walks around town, had a blast at a friend’s pre-holiday party, and I even got a jump start on making my Thanksgiving pie crusts! Do you have anything planned to start getting in a holiday frame of mind? We’ve got some posts on the agenda this week that’ll help you do it, from a holiday card addressing party to ideas on how to stay healthy and dress festively throughout the season… but for now, enjoy my favorite links from around the web the past week!
