Phoebe and I were so thrilled to be featured in Austin Home’s summer issue, hanging out in our kitchen on the cover! We had so much fun shooting with the amazing Casey Dunn, who managed to capture all of my favorite parts of our home and bring them to life on the pages of the mag. Wanted to share a sneak peek so you guys could see the little ways that our home has changed since our last shoot here a couple years ago! For those of you who are in the area, be sure to pick up a copy and read the entire interview penned by the brilliant Carla Avolio.

AMAZING, love the bedroom the most what a view!
Love it all! Totally gorgeous home!
What a beautiful home….love the table…I have the chairs and would love the table. Would you mind sharing where you purchased it and the length and width please? Thanks…I have been searching for a table for many months!
Hi Kristen! Thanks so much. We actually searched and searched for the perfect table and couldn’t find what we were looking for, so we ended up working with a carpenter here in Austin. We sketched out what we wanted with the dimensions for the space, and he brought it to life! It’s made of sealed, unstained white oak.
wow camille, it’s absolutely gorgeous!
and what a view!! congrats on the feature 🙂

Beautiful in every way! Hopefully the crazy weather we had last night didn’t damage your property.
Absolutely stunning Camille! so beautiful!
Simply beautiful! I love your aesthetic. Thanks for sharing, Camille.
Your house is an absolute dream Camille!
Beautiful home! Feels very serene … and adult … which leads me to ask the following question. Does your house look like that on a regular basis or is it usually sprinkled with Phoebe’s toys? As a new mom, I am trying to figure out how to provide my four month-old baby with enough space of her own without making my house look like I live in a kid’s home (instead of my daughter living in an adults’ home)… makes sense? I just don’t want to end up having one of those households that you walk into and it has been taken over by toys! At times I feel as though having her own room should suffice, but what about when I need her to be within sight while I’m cooking or cleaning? And I don’t want her to ever feel confined to her room! Have you found a solution? Have you perhaps already posted about it? If not, I’d very very interested to hear more about it!
Hi Maya! These are great questions, and ones that I’m quite sure every parent deals with on a regular basis! For me, the solution is found in two words: TOY CLOSET! We have one walk in closet where all Phoebe’s toys live. I don’t put too much pressure on myself to keep in hyper-organized, and in a pinch, I will literally throw everything into it and shut the door so I can ignore the mess.
I also try to rotate out her toys that she’s grown tired of so that the sheer number of toys stays under control. I’ve noticed that when I really take a look at her stuff, more than half of it she never even touches… so those items go into a labeled box to either get back out when we have baby #2, or even let Phoebe “rediscover” a few weeks later (shopping in your own attic!)
And my last tip would be to think about how you can completely baby-proof your space. I rebelled against the idea of baby proofing in the beginning because I wanted to keep our house feeling the same as before we had kids, but then I realized that when the room is safe for Phoebe to explore and discover, I don’t have to stress as much AND she’s much happier since I’m not always taking dangerous things away from her.
It’s a constant process and you’ll find that as your baby grows, you’ll continually have to adjust and make changes that are right for that season of life. Good luck and congrats on your sweet 4-month bundle of joy! xoxo
Wonderful ideas!! Love the “shopping in your own attic” tactic; so clever. We will soon reach the baby-proofing stage and although I don’t want to deal with that either, you’ve made some great points to help me reconsider. Thanks!
Love that question, exactly what I was thinking when looking at the pictures. thank you for the answer!!
You have such a beautiful home! I love the view from the bedroom in particular. It’s stunning.
Your home is beautiful, and I love your answers in how to ‘baby proof’ without taking away the look and style of your home.
Your house is charming but I gotta ask , who designed that dress????
Thanks Maura! It’s from Madewell, earlier in the spring! 🙂
Omg WOOOOW!!! Just woooow!!! IT’S EVERYTHING!! So perfect!!!
your home is stunning!
Could you please share interior wall color? Your home is amazing!!
Thanks so much Kelly! It’s Restoration Hardware in “Mediterranean White.”
What a beautiful home! Can you please telle where to find that gorgeous black circular light.
Thanks so much! I was really inspired by some iron chandeliers that we’d seen at wineries in Napa, but I couldn’t find one that was exactly what I wanted and a little more modernized. So, we ended up designing it ourselves and they guys who built our steel doors actually crafted this chandelier, too. I absolutely love it!
love that open space in your living room – outdoors meets indoors … and the light in the whole house is really great! not to mention the view!
Such a gorgeous home! I love seeing some new images, especially of your stunning views…I will actually be in Austin this weekend so hopefully I can pick up a copy of the magazine!
Stunning,I love your clean style! Can you tell me where you purchased your family room rug?

Would you mind sharing where you got your curtain rods from? We have a long wall of windows and I’m having difficulty finding a rod long enough. Thanks so much!
Beautiful home! Where is the painting in your bedroom from? Thanks!
I love your home! I was wondering what size pendant you used above your dining table? I believe it is the two tier pendant from RH, which comes in 19″ and 25″. Thanks so much!!
Hi Katie! Thanks so much — I LOVE that pendant from RH. 🙂 It is the 25″!
You are beyond nice to respond! Thank you so much, I appreciate it!
Beautiful home… I especially love your bathroom. We are in the planning stages of our master bathroom renovation. I noticed you have a window over your tub as I do and a white box on ceiling. Is that an automatic shade ?
Thank you, Kim
It is! Our home builder made it for us — we love it. Thanks Kim!
