With just 11 weeks until this little girl’s due date, January is shaping up to be a busy month! Between styling projects, blog shoots, and working on this little one’s nursery, it feels like I’m constantly out shopping these days. While malls can be a super convenient one-stop shop, I’ve been challenging myself to explore smaller stores with more unique pieces… it’s a lot more fun, and the things you find are much more interesting!
You know what else is fun? Day dreaming about being able to wear non-maternity clothes this summer! (Is it bad that I have already started pinning things to this board?) But until then, I’m doing my best to keep this bump somewhat stylish. I love this look because it feels like something I would totally wear post pregnancy — sans stretchy jean and shirt panels, of course! I love that the poppy color of this coat really brightens everything up, too. Winter isn’t always the best for skin, so a little color near your face can go a long way! The bracelet and ring are from a smaller jewelry line, Edge of Ember.
Silver Lake Boulevard is one of my favorite little shopping streets! You can start your shopping adventures at LaMill Coffee for an orange infused cappuccino, or an iced green tea if you’re watching your caffeine intake. Next, pop into Yolk for the cutest assortment of kids toys and clothes (that’s actually only about half of the store, but it’s currently my favorite half!).
Just down the way, you can venture into Lawson Fenning for a really unique selection of vintage and modern furniture — how great are these chairs? And if you’re ready to add some seriously fun pieces to your closet, then you won’t want to miss Lake. What’s the point of all of that New Year’s organization if you can’t add a couple of new things to the collection, right? Lastly, if you find yourself on the boulevard after 5pm, stop in for a quick (or not so quick) bite at L & E Oyster Bar.
