While I wouldn’t exactly characterize any of my work days as “typical”, most of my obligations tend to include some form of a casual meeting — whether at a showroom taking in a new collection or meeting with a client over lunch. And my evenings are usually a combination of work and play — none of us really work 9-5 anymore, right? In this particular case, I was meeting up with girlfriends for a quick happy hour and then hopping over to West Hollywood to shoot a tape piece at the opening party of the Joe Fresh at JC Penney pop-up shop, so I put this look together because I knew it could easily transition throughout the day.

This sort of look is kind of my work uniform: skinny jean, silk top, jacket, and repeat! In the morning, I wore this look but with a button up shirt under the jacket, ballet flats, and my larger day bag.

As the temperatures warmed up in the afternoon, I took the jacket off all-together and went more casual.  By the time I was running to meet my girlfriends, I just slipped into my favorite Rag & Bone tank (see this post and this post for proof of its popularity with me!) and topped it with my new favorite Joie jacket (on sale at Nordstrom now!).

I made the look more evening appropriate by adding wedges and a smaller bag as well. From day to night, this look really is about as versatile as you can get!
