Fall is here, and with it comes a natural instinct to cozy up our homes and make them inviting and comfortable… after all, when the weather turns cold we’re going to be spending a lot more time inside! So it seemed like the perfect time to team up with Loloi Rugs to give my living room a little makeover with a new vibrant rug, some plush textural throw pillows and an oversized throw over an armchair, just begging for someone to curl up and take a nap!
Loloi invited me to join seven other design bloggers to transform my living space with their brilliant (and super affordable!) Anastasia Collection of rugs. Not only was I thrilled with how the shot of color transformed my own living room; I also can’t wait to see what the other bloggers create in theirs! And we’re going head-to-head: if my living room, shown here, gets the most votes by midnight on October 14th, $1000 will be donated towards my chosen charity, Ever Mother Counts. Hop on over to the voting site to see who else is in the running, and (shameless plug) pick me! Pick me!
Okay, now that you’ve voted (thank you!!) back to my living room makeover… You guys know that I’m a neutral girl at heart, but neutrals can get pretty boring without some interesting textures, details, and even – yes – some strategically-placed color. I’m truly smitten with Loloi’s Anastasia Collection, which is inspired by exotic high-end silk rugs that feel historic and well worn. Their designers took those legacy designs and modernized them using stain-resistent fibers, and the result is a rug that’s durable enough for my little monsters kids, and that’s also way more affordable than it looks.
Along with the dramatic transformation that the rug provided, I tossed some textural throw pillows, also from Loloi, onto the couch which really cozied things up. And, of course, the least expensive way to redecorate a living room: engage in some weekend coffee table styling! Simply moving around your books, pulling a pretty object or two from other areas of the house, and arranging a pretty bunch of seasonal flowers is my favorite way to transform the living room without spending a penny.
This bar cart had started to feel cluttered as random objects got added to it, so I decided to clear the surface and start from scratch with just a few simple pieces. We also hung this print from one of my favorite photographers, Christian Chaize, just above it, which anchored the bar cart on the wall and gives the room a beachy vibe all year around.
What do you think? Do you like the addition of some bright color in my neutral space? I love the final result even more than I was expecting! You can purchase Loloi’s rugs on sites like Wayfair and Rugs Direct, as well as retailers around the nation. And don’t forget to hop on over to the site to see how other bloggers like Kate Arends of Wit & Delight and Justina Blakeney styled their rugs — and vote for your favorite (hopefully mine!!!)
The rug is just beautiful!

And I promise, it is even more stunning in person!
I love the decor of your house, Camille! It’s my dream to have a house like yours. I used to love everything white, but slowly I realized that I’m also a neutral girl at heart. I love the combination of neutral colors with dark wood.
That is so sweet, thanks Anna. 🙂
Your living room is so beautiful!! Looks so cosy!! kisses:D
Thank you Laura!
Another plug for Every Mother Counts – they do wonderful work to improve maternal health. Thanks for supporting such a great organization, Camille!
Yes!! They do amazing work — I am so inspired by their team and mission!
Love the punch of color in your beautifully serene space. Blends nicely with those killer views of Austin right outside your back door 🙂
Thanks so much Merry!
I LOVE that rug! I’ve been looking for something just like it for my living room!
Isn’t it gorgeous?? I am totally in love, too. 🙂
Those pillows are dreamy. Where are they from please?
So lovely!! ????????????
Oh wow, your living room is just gorgeous! Love the rug & all the dreamy decor!

Your space is just so beautiful with so many lovely touches! Have you worked with an interior designer here is Austin whom you would recommend?
Camille, I love this space! Can you share where you got your curtains? I am looking for something exactly like that.
Love the rug you chose… which Anastasia colorway is it? When I look at their site I can’t tell which one has the plums/pinks that your rug has… thanks!
Also wondering!
Me too! I can’t tell.. Is it the slate multi?! I’m looking for a client and would love to know! Thanks
Hey girls – I wrote in and Chanel confirmed that the color is Anastasia AF-08 Slate Multi. 🙂
Ditto! I couldn’t match it up either…..help?!?!
It’s Anastasia AF-08 Slate Multi. 🙂
Thank youuuuu! 🙂
This is beautiful!!! I have been looking at this rug…tell please, is it as pink/purple as it looks? Goes so well with your warm, bright room!
Thank you!
Thank you! It does have pink and purple tones, but they’re subtle enough to feel almost neutral in the space… which is saying a lot coming from a neutral girl like me! 🙂 I absolutely love the full effect.
Hi Camille! I bought this rug and I love how your camel color chair ties in with the colors. Could you tell me where you bought your chair?
Awesome – so glad! The chair is from West Elm. 🙂
What color Anastasia rug is this one? Looking to purchase but can’t seem to find this color.
Its the slate/multi (currently on sale at gilt)
Where did you get your coffee table? I want it!
Hi! I love this room! You did a great job. I just bought the rug and was curious if you could provide where you bought the pink knitted pillow! Thank you so much!
Just beautiful! Where is that couch from and can you please tell me the color? Thanks so much!
I love your room. A few years ago I saw an image very similar to this room and the name Camille was referenced. The imaged showed a beige sofa/with chaise adorned with white pillows and a light throw. The ottoman had a large square tray with a white hydrangea, some books. The side table had a glass bowl with paper whites. One wall was pictured with an archway flanked by two doors that lead to the patio. You could see the same awesome chandelier. With all this said, would you still have an image of that room? Thank you, Michele
Hi Michele! I’m not sure if I have that exact shot, but here are a couple other images of my living room:

Clicked over from Studio McGee’s weekly roundup. This is stunning! Can you tell me about those sliding doors, how they have held up over time? Does it expose your interior to the elements? I’m intrigued: this would be perfect for our living room and porch addition.
I love the look of this room! I am currently redoing my living/dining spaces and just purchased both the rug you purchased and another Loloi rug. Do you have any recommendations about paint colors in the gray color family. I’m really not liking a lot of the grays I’ve tried.
Perfection. Would you mind telling what paint color you used for the walls and for the trim…I am drowning in “white” paint chips and it looks like you found the perfect colors. Thanks in advance
I’m not Camille, but I’ve used a Sherwin Williams color Greek Villa that I am in love with. It looks very similar. Of course, with natural or artificial light it varies, but it’s gorgeous and goes well with so much!
i love this room. what’s the colour pretty please
I love your look!! Im currently re arranging my living room and really want this rug. My walls are ivory white but more on the white side and my couch is like a medium grey. Do you think the couch would pair nicely with that rug or do you think it’ll be too much grey? Any feedback would be great! Thanks!
Hi there. I love your style. I would like you to tell me about the fifth photo in your living room a splash of style. Can you tell me which Anastasia rug you have featured. Thanks, Jani
May I ask where that coffee table is from?!
Hi Camille! I am in love with this rug! I am ordering it, but I am curious as to what size rug this is in the picture? 7×10 or 9×13? Thanks!
