Weekend Notes

fall dinner party with pumpkin walkwayHope you’re all having a lovely weekend so far! The weather is gorgeous here — that temperature where you step outside and feel nothing because it’s the perfect balance between not-hot and not-cold and you can finally run around without breaking a sweat. We’ve been doing stuff around the house (laundry, organizing, yard work), and took my dad out for his favorite steak dinner for his birthday last night. I feel like it’s the calm before the storm as I get ready to head out on my book tour next week. It’s always a little nerve-wracking to head into such a period of craziness — I think I get nervous about something going wrong, or letting a ball drop. But then I remind myself that even if that were to happen, it wouldn’t be the end of the world, and for this experience I really want to focus on the sheer excitement of finally getting to share my book with the world and meeting so many of you guys out on the tour! Okay, thanks for talking me through that. And now, a few can’t-miss links from the past week!

I just wanted to say that I really enjoy these post where you link to other websites, not that I don’t enjoy what you’re writing, but I like that you’re giving me even more to read.
I’ve had my share of busy days this week so I’ve decided to take yesterday off completely and that today I will do work, but in my own pace. And having your blog to read, and your links, is a really nice way to relax and do a bit of reading that isn’t connected to my university-projects! So thank you!
