Did you all have a good Christmas week? I’ve got to say that Phoebe’s total obsession with Santa this year made it extra fun. I wish you could have seen her face when she discovered that he’d brought her a train set and a dollhouse just like she’d asked him. A miracle! Also, can’t believe there are only four more days in 2014. I’m already starting to look ahead to the new year, thinking about my resolutions and a new mindset that I want to take in 2015 (slow my pace, stop multitasking, & focus on the person I’m with.) Research says that we stick to resolutions a lot more when they’re specific and practical, so I need to narrow it down a bit… but for now I’m just letting it marinate. And about New Year’s Eve! Do you guys have any fun parties on the agenda? We’re hosting a cozy game night and dinner for a few friends at home — I’m definitely in the mood for a low-key affair this year. Though I did get in a festive state-of-mind with this round-up of my favorite NYE parties from around the web, to inspire your own soirées or just your love of sparkle this year!

This New Years Eve fête we threw with kate spade new york last year was the most fun ever.

A classy holiday party from Ann Street Studio that’s brimming with elegant inspiration & gorgeous attire.

How to style a New Year’s Eve bar cart.

A glittery New Year’s Eve cocktail bash from Martha’s editorial righthand man.

NYE eye candy to get you in the mood to celebrate.

Deck out the buffet with a sparkling snowflake tablecloth DIY.

Since you’ve got to ring in 2015 with something sweet, why not whip up one of these confections using all the bright winter citrus that’s available right now?

And a few fun things you may have missed this week:

I made a big, happy announcement!

Also, while strolling through your lovely book can I ask where the water decanter with wooden ball stop is from? Thank you!

A game night sounds like a lot of fun for New Year’s Eve! And I’m sure it will be sweet if those cupcakes are around.

Without a white Christmas in Houston, I can hardly wait for a white New Year’s Eve in Aspen and Day on the slopes in Snowmass. Hopefully it includes a warm cup of coffee and a yummy brunch like you posted about. Happy, happy to you & your growing family!

Thanks Molly! Sending holiday hugs and have a great time in Aspen!!

Sounds like a lovely holiday! Can I ask what dollhouse you got phoebe. I’ve been researching dollhouses like crazy for my daughter for her upcoming bday. She’s been wanting one for awhile and can’t decide?
