Weekend Notes

Happy weekend! What do all of you have on the agenda today? It’s all about the music here in Austin – ACL Festival is going full force, and we spent the day yesterday braving the crowds and hearing some pretty amazing bands. Today will bring a little more festival time, but hopefully a lot more cuddling-with-Phoebe time… it’s funny how I really can’t be away from her for more than a couple of hours without getting homesick for her sweet little face. After posting Chanel’s Halloween costume this week, I realized that I need to get serious about Phoebe’s first getup! I think I’ve narrowed it down to either a honey bear (the kind that honey comes out of) or a hula girl. But let’s be honest: any costume that’s that tiny is going to be adorable. Hope you all have a lovely Saturday, and enjoy my favorite links from the week!

Have you heard of children’s author Max Lucado? He writes adult books, also, but his children’s books are great! They teach the child an important lesson at the end of the book. And sometimes they can make adults cry! At least that is what happened when my 27 year old cousin was reading one of his books to our two year old cousin. Some titles are ”You Are Special’ and The Crippled Lamb’.

Its cold and gloomy in St. Paul. We’ve been discussing going to the children’s museum. But on a day like this its tempting to stay inside and work on a few projects!
