To me, Memorial Day weekend kicks off the beginning of the laid-back days of summer…and I honestly couldn’t be more ready to welcome them with open arms. This weekend I’m powering down my laptop and leaving my phone on its charger in exchange for pool parties, feasts on the grill and uninterrupted time hanging out with family and friends. Speaking of friends, I’ve got to take a minute to brag on one of my best ones: Chanel, who you guys all know as our fearless assistant editor and writer of many, many posts here on the blog, also happens to be a wonderfully talented songstress.
