Before I wrote my first book, I didn’t really get why you’d want to pre-order a book before its release date. But as it turns out, pre-orders are a big deal and are one of the most powerful ways you can contribute to the success of an author whose work you love! A strong pre-order number encourages bookstores to carry the book, expands the number of cities an author may be able to visit on a book tour, and most importantly, increases the likelihood that they’ll be able to write another book.
