Weekend Notes

August 18th, 2013

Getaway Car | photo by Jose Villa via Once Wed

Y’all will have to forgive the tardiness of this weekend’s “Notes.” I’ve been a bit occupied helping my sister get ready for her wedding last night… at our house! It couldn’t have been a more beautiful evening, full of the most meaningful vows, flickering candlelight, delicious food and just all-around incredible family memories. I carried flower girl Phoebe down the aisle, and she managed to make it down without eating any of the rose petals (and even threw one or two!) The lovely Kate Stafford was there to capture every moment, so I’ll be sure to share a few snaps later this week. Can’t believe my baby sister – of 6 years – is a married woman! Congrats Molly!!

Due to the craziness of this week, just a few can’t-miss links from around the web, plus some highlights from the blog!

Heirloom Tomatoes + Burrata has got to be one of the most luscious combos of all time.

Ashton shares thoughts on hard work, opportunity and sexiness, at the Teen Choice Awards.

Obsessed with these DIY animal pom-poms… want to make them all!

French toast & fig sauce sounds like the perfect weekend indulgence.

I’m feeling the Hepburn-vibe of pale pink ballet flats lately.

*and a few fun things you may have missed!

We fell in love with Janette’s gorgeous (and baby-proof) home.

Jen made us all jealous with her chic brunch in Beverly Hills.

Phoebe turned one, and we threw an “I (heart) Summer-themed” party to celebrate.
