It’s hard to think of summer without imagining some glamorous getaway. We are staying a little closer to home this year since we now have a three month old in tow, but our adventures in years past have helped me hone in on my favorite getaway garb. For starters, it needs to be versatile. Can you layer it over a bikini? Can you throw on a sweater for chilly evenings or modest cathedral dress codes? Will it be comfortable 12 hours later when we are finally sitting down to dinner and drinks after miles of trekking through the city?

This Splendid chambray jumpsuit fits all of the necessary criteria for great travel attire. It’s really lightweight and breathable for those sultry summer days. It also super versatile. You could throw on a blazer and pumps for a serious lunch meeting or layer it over a bikini top with a sun hat and hit the sand. Throw on a boyfriend cardigan for an effortless evening look that’s completely distinct.

This just happens to also be what I will be wearing tomorrow to ring in the Fourth of July with festivities in the park with friends. This Saint James x Coach tote is beginning enough for the most extravagant of picnics and these Rag & Bone sandals that I scored on sale a couple of weeks ago are so comfortable I forget I’m wearing heels.
