Our dads taught us how to throw a football, eat with our hands (sorry Mom) and live life on our own terms — what’s not to love? I can still remember being a little girl and hopping on the couch with my Dad for long hours of watching the French Open or the PGA Tour — different sport, same routine. We still have our rituals now, like my parents’ yearly Wimbledon Party and my Dad’s signature Toad In The Hole recipe that he lets me help him make (quite an endeavor, considering I’m not the best cook!). There’s something really special about sharing those moments with your Dad. The images that we’ve gathered all speak to this theme of heartfelt, fun-filled (and styling) fatherhood, so celebrate with us today, and hats off to all you Dads out there!

Laird Hamilton
Surf’s up! We love a dad that brings his baby along for the ride. Big-wave surfer Laird Hamilton definitely knows how to balance his dad duties.

Bruce Lee
Martial-artist-turned-action-hero Bruce Lee was famous for doing all his own stunts; it’s fitting that he taught his son Brandon a few moves as well!

JFK
Here he is — you know we couldn’t have done a Dads Day post without including the beloved JFK, presidential icon and the most photogenic commander-in-chief of all time.

JFK
He’s so cool that he gets two photos, pictured here with his daughter Caroline. He sure is easy on the eyes!

Clint Eastwood
Looks like Clint knew his son, Kyle, would be a musician from a very young age. Way to go, Dad!

Paul Newman
We’ve already talked about how much we love Paul and Joanne’s legendary 50-year Hollywood marriage; I can’t help but think that such a good husband must make an even better dad!

Johnny Depp
We’ve followed Johnny’s hyper-creative career from his 1990 role as Edward Scissorhands to the present, where time and time again he’s lent himself to films full of fantasy and mischief. With such colorful choices in film, we’re thinking this creative influence transferred over to fatherhood as well.

Lenny Kravitz
We loved Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet together…thank goodness they had a daughter, Zoë, to continue their legacy of cool.

Fred Astaire
The father of all dance comedies with his mini-me — Fred and Fred Jr. have all the right moves.

David Beckham
There are few things we love more than a soccer superstar turned dad — and how cute is little Harper?
