If you’ve spent even one summer in Austin, then you know the absolute best way to spend it is underwater. Our sizzling city is blessed with some of the best public swimming pools in the state, and our natural water swimming holes are truly magical destinations. That’s why I’m completely enamored with the instagram account @poolhunting, which follows one stylish swimmer as she tries to visit as many different pools as she can in a single summer. My longstanding fascination with pool tiles has come full circle as I’m seeing many gorgeous applications of blue-on-black pattern on everything from malliots to back splashes this year. Someday I’ll design and build my own pool lined with gorgeous indigo tile, but in the meantime I’ll be dreaming of booking a trip through the gorgeous website Ever After Honeymoons. I’m absolutely swooning over the tile-inspired design created by MaeMae Paperie! Where is your favorite swimming pool? Let us know in the comments!

You should check out a 1968 movie, THE SWIMMER, starring Burt Lancaster as he
uses various swimming pools to “swim home”. My favorite swimming pool so far this
year is an indoor pool at the Beach Club in Gulf Shores, Alabama. FYI: I love that
    blue bathing suit!
