Happy Thursday y’all! Claire here with a fun little DIY I’m excited to attempt. Every girl needs a place to stash her most prized jewelry, and my roomie Chanel is no exception. We’ve been on the hunt for one that she can display on her dresser, but haven’t found the perfect one yet… so I’ve decided to make one! I found some really inspirational ideas out there, and since most of them use natural or repurposed elements, I’m certain I’ll have no trouble creating something interesting and inexpensive. But before I get started I’d love to hear from all of you: Which of these jewelry trees would you like to see re-interpreted and recreated? Leave a comment with your thoughts and ideas, and stay tuned for the reveal in two weeks!

I really like the first one! There’s a certain elegance to it that I love seeing combined with jewelry.

Could you do a twist on the rake? I like the look and shape of it, but it is rustic and could look out of place in a modern room… any way to make it fit in a modern space?

Painting it is definitely an option! Or finding perhaps a less vintage rake as well! Thanks, Lauren!

You can actually use what they call “sheds” which the deer naturally sheds (hence the name) and so it’s cruelty free! I would never hurt an animal either, Karin! 🙂

Funny, I almost bought the silver one but it’s too small! I’ve been trying to figure out how to recreate it but all the branches keep breaking 😉 Can’t wait to see what you do!

Thanks for the heads up! If I go with this one I’ll have to find a strong enough branch I suppose.

I think the antler is the most original… but I’d probably go for the top tree branch-style one. It would be such a pretty touch to my bedroom or bathroom!

I have the tree branch from west elm and while it’s beautiful to look at on my dresser, it’s not very tall and only holds a couple of pieces. aesthetic for me, also has to have function.

I love all of them but the antler one is really cool!! You could even use the bottom part as a place for rings if you if it didn’t have that other antler piece on it!

Claire, I’ve been wanting a jewelry holder to hang in my closet on the wall! I would love some thing like the rake, but more modern. Help!

Maybe a combo of the first two (using form of the first and both types of material). Don’t know how one would do it–but how cool would it be to have an antler dipped asymmetrically in metal coating? Or at least appear as such…

Thanks Camilie for clueing the person on “sheds” that’s what I use, and the bottom piece is a jewelry box , I see most don’t even realize that, at show’s I leave the lid setting crosswise and it’s funny to see a light go off when they realize it.. I made This and many functional things from nature- bucknoriginals- Etsy. Ron Leard
    Thanks for the publicity.
