Weekend Notes

Hello, weekend… I’m feeling especially excited to see you today. After a fantastic yet whirlwind week that included out-of-town guests, our new editor-in-chief’s first day on the job, working on our office remodel and shooting news segments from my laundry room… I’m officially ready to kick back on the couch for a lazy Super Bowl-viewing and taco-eating evening. And big news: I turned in my book manuscript yesterday! Can’t believe that it’s been almost a year since I kicked off this journey, and while the project has been one of my biggest challenges so far, it’s also been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Working with Buff to create beautiful images through every season, settling into my favorite seat at Houndstooth for marathon writing sessions, staying up late to test a recipe just one more time… the entire process has been full of “pinch me” moments that make me feel like writing this book has been way too much fun to be considered “work.” Camille Styles Entertaining is all set for a release date this fall, and hopefully I’ll be coming to your city for a signing! Stay tuned for all the details — I promise to spill them here first. And thank you for the support and encouragement you’ve all expressed over the sneak peeks I’ve shared along the way! It means so much and makes me that much more excited to share this labor of love with you all in a few months.
