Monochromatic Monday :: Indian Summer Part II

Indian Summer Inspiration Board | Camille StylesSometimes we play a game here in the office where we look through all the old posts in the mono monday feed and pick our favorites. It’s somewhat mesmerizing to watch the seasons change over and over through the feed, and fun to look back on the old trends we explored — some good and some… well, best left in the past. No matter how many times we play the game, I always come back to this post as one of my very favorites. It just really captured how I feel about this certain time of year, when everything stands still for just a moment at the very end of summer. Children are begging for a few more hours in the pool, sunsets show up in time for dinner, and somewhere in the distance is the faint sound of a high school marching band. With countless days at Barton Springs behind me (and a very faded black swimsuit) I awoke this weekend to an 82 degree day. That’s the thing about new seasons. They tend to show up just when you need them.
