At approximately 9 a.m. every morning, rain or shine, you can find me in the Starbucks line with a Gold Card in hand. While it’s not often that I stray from my routine iced vanilla latte, earlier this week I found myself craving a rich, frothy, cinnamon-y cup of nostalgia. Alas, the infamous pumpkin spice latte was calling my name! Since then I’ve been hooked, and I can’t help but notice that my new regular cup ‘o joe (as well as a recent onset of cooler weather) is suddenly inspiring pumpkin cravings of all sorts. Be it for dessert, dinner or hors d’oeuvres, here are a few of my all-time favorite ways to incorporate the ingredient into any fare. Do you have a pumpkin recipe you make year after year?

1. Pumpkin Bruschetta from Sweet Paul

2. Garlic Rosemary Pumpkin Hummus from Pinch of Yum

3. Pumpkin, Quinoa & Hazelnut Gnocchi from Cannelle et Vanille

4. Pumpkin Fettuccine from us!

5. Coconut Curry Pumpkin Soup from Love and Lemons

6. Pumpkin Butterscotch Granola Bars from Heather Christo

7. Pumpkin Coffee Cake with Brown Sugar Streusel from Portuguese Girl Cooks

8. Pumpkin Ice Cream Sandwiches from The Tart Tart

9. Pumpkin Spice Biscotti from Cupcakes and Cashmere

10. Mini Pumpkin Pies from Offbeat and Inspired

every one of these recipes sounds divine, but the gnocchi and the mini pies look just too good not to try.

I made the Pumpkin Fettuccine last week for a few friends and it turned out amazing! The garlic and sage perfectly took away from the sweet pumpkin flavor- it was a big hit.

I love the coconut pumpkin soup, made it this week! Mmm. However, is the pumpkin latte really good? I’ve been staring at it but I never dared to order it, I have no clue how it could taste 🙂 Maybe I should give it a go!

you just made me feel a little better about my starbucks addiction… I constantly smack myself for spending almost $5 at starbucks every day (7 on the days when I splurge for their amazing oatmeal), but I CANT help it! one thing to try if you like the PSL… get their pike place coffee with pumpkin syrup – it tastes amazing for half the price. (makes me fee a littleee less guilty).

Such a great suggestion! During the summer, I try to do the same with my iced coffee – adding vanilla syrup does the trick. I can’t wait to try your spin on the PSL.

The pumpkin spice latte is also great if you ask for it 1/2 sweet, this allow some more flavour of the espresso but still able to taste the pumpkin side of the drink!
