Happy New Years

In 2014 we partnered with our friends at kate spade new york to create three travel-inspired parties (we’ve already visited Rio and Havana) and they saved their most ambitious destination for last: outer space! We’ve never shied away from a challenge, so we booked an astronaut deejay, whipped up homemade moon pies, and found a stellar location. We ended up loving this cosmic theme that was so different from anything we’d ever done (or seen!) before. Decked out in kate spade new york‘s intergalactic winter collection, we headed to the deepest corners of outer space for a new year’s eve party that was truly out-of-this-world.

Camille prepared to meet guests in her Madison Ave. Collection Mattea Dress from kate spade new york.

We whipped up a vodka-based pineapple punch, garnished each glass with bright blue rock candy and named it “rocket fuel.”

Guests began to arrive at the fantastic Cliff House just as the sun set over Ladybird Lake. Big thanks to our friends at Gottesman Residential for granting us access to such an amazing locale.

Partygoers soaked in the view from the rounded glass room which hangs (amazingly) off the edge of a steep cliff above the lake.

Chanel helped herself to one of Camille’s home made moon pies. She wears the Madison Ave. Collection Galaxy Gems Ring from kate spade new york.

Guests went crazy over our “rocket dogs” — dressed-up mini pigs-in-a-blankets presented on skewers.

We decided we simply couldn’t wait for 2015 to pop the champagne!

Nikki helped man the deejay booth, which we transformed with a roll of reynolds wrap foil.

Chanel peers from behind our hands-down favorite accessory of the night, the Over The Moon Jett Clutch.

Robin and Camille played their best hands.

Robin wears the Madison Ave. Collection Marielly Chubby and Twinkle Twinkle Studs.

Kelly looked out-of-this-world in the Madison Ave. Collection Marci Top with her Place Your Bets Tiger Clutch.

Don’t Ryan and Robin make the most adorable pair? She wears the Sequin Fit and Flare Dress.

The recently engaged couple tried out the telescope in the conservatory of The Cliff House.

They saw an array of stars (as well as into the office windows of buildings downtown!)

We lucked out and got the very talented Jonathan Skaggs to deejay for us — he brought the perfect tunes (and attitude) to our intergalactic event.

Guests posed for a party pic showing off their fun kate spade new york accessories.

Jonathan brought an amazing collection of vinyl that was spot-on for our theme: Bowie, Daft Punk, and this little gem from Parliament Funkadelic.

Robin and Nikki pose with two of our delicious sugar “cosmic cookies.”

Robin wears the Madison Ave. Collection Marielly Chubby and Nikki the Patch Leather Sweater Dress.

In lieu of an old-fashioned bunting or banner, we projected our futuristic message for 2015 on the wall.

This group went back to the future when the clock struck midnight!

Guests kicked off their shoes to try out our fun photo booth activity…

Kelly wears the Madison Ave. Collection Marci Top and Chanel wears the Constellation Sweater and Madison Ave. Collection Amory Short.

We made these easy “stardust” favors for guests to take at the end of the night — small glass jars filled with metallic glitter.

As guests made their way to their cars, Chanel and Kelly kissed 2014 goodbye!
