Pulling it Off

Matching Separates

November 10th, 2016

This fall the runways are packed with beautiful color palettes and uniquely structured collections; the message from designers is loud and clear that this is the year to embrace a one-of-a-kind look. Although matching separates have traditionally been thought of as prim and proper, this new edgier crop is about freedom and creativity in one’s personal style. When creating this look for Camille, I wanted to introduce a level of ease to her wardrobe and show how versatile matching separates can be. On its own, these pieces are red carpet-worthy; add a classic trench and they adopt a sophisticated ease that’s perfect for an afternoon of gallery hopping. Keep scrolling for my tips on pulling off a monotone look this season.

You have great upper arms! The ensemble is beautiful.

  3. That green is gorgeous! Beautiful outfit and the shades are the perfect finishing touch. Where are they from? I don’t see them in the “Shop the Look” section.

LOVING trenches this season. I just got the most perfect pink one and shared a similar sleeveless (though woven) one styled here: https://wonderlandsam.com/2016/10/11/east-coast-meets-west-coast-fall-style/
