It’s not unusual that my home is decked out with as many fresh flowers as possible, but when the holidays roll around it’s a whole different ball game. For this week’s floral trimmings project, Ash is back with a gorgeous holiday-inspired arrangement that boasts her signature wild and organic style, chock full of seasonal blooms and fresh foliage – some of which can be found in your own backyard. Keep reading for her tips on how to craft the perfect arrangement for your holiday entertaining, and if you’re just now joining us, be sure to check out the amazing bay laurel garland Ash shared last week.

The holidays wouldn’t be complete in our house without a full arrangement in a Keith Kreeger vase. I am in love with these Henry Bockstoce peonies. So in love. They opened up to be as big as my head!
I started the arrangement with oak foliage cut from my yard. It just fell perfectly when I put it in the vase. I then added in a few stems of Queen Anne’s lace cut at different heights and three of the Henry Bockstoce peonies, again, cut at different lengths.
I could have stopped there but I like to add a few extra touches. Scabiosa, amaryllis and pepper berry were added in, then I finished the arrangement with a personal favorite: hellebores.
