What you love about your neighborhood:

I love that Hancock Park feels like a small town in a big city. There are tree-lined streets, a cute park, sidewalks, and Larchmont Village with coffee shops, a farmers’ market, and little boutiques.

How you wake up each day:

Our 3 1/2 year old daughter, Sloan, acts as our alarm clock each morning anywhere between 6-7am. My husband and I have always been morning people and even before we had our daughter, we woke up naturally with the sun – but at least back in the day that meant getting to sleep in after a late night out (that’s no longer the case).

The number of hours of sleep you need to be fully functional:

8. Any less, I really feel it and it requires an extra cup of coffee.

The first thing you do in the morning:

The first thing I do in the morning is splash water on my face and apply serum/lotion/eye cream. That way my skincare has time to really sink in before I eventually apply my makeup.

Morning media rituals:

Howard Stern! My husband introduced me to him years ago – and I was very skeptical. But now I consider myself a die hard fan as well and never miss one of his interviews.

How you take your coffee:

With a healthy pour of whole milk.

What you eat for breakfast:

I’m kind of an all or nothing breakfast person. So I either just have coffee and go until lunch or, if I wake up hungry, will do a full spread – toasted bagel with butter, eggs, bacon, etc. I let my body dictate what I do, so if I’m hungry, I eat, otherwise I wait until around Noon and start eating then.

Favorite product for the shower:

Kai body wash. It’s a light floral scent I’ve worn since college and it smells fresh and clean. Plus high end bath products really have a way of elevating your entire day.

How you plan your outfits:

I’ve gone through periods of time when I’d lie things out the night before, but now the only time I do that is before an early morning flight.

If you could only put on one item of makeup, what would it be:

Concealer. I like that you can just put it on as needed without too much coverage. If applied carefully in good light, it can make you look like you have flawless skin without wearing any products.

Your signature scent:

Carnal Flower. It’s the one fragrance that women (and men!) stop me on for wearing in the street. The tuberose scent is so pure and sexy without being overpowering.

Favorite morning ritual:

Drinking our coffee. Most mornings my husband makes our coffee and we drink them together in the family room while our daughter plays nearby.

How you’d use an extra hour in the morning:

I should say something related to exercise since I currently am not making time for it in my routine, but if I’m being honest – I’d love to do something more indulgent like a long bubble bath and a face mask with uninterrupted time to read in the tub.

Your favorite place to wake up:

In my own bed! I love everything about our light-filled room that’s clean and inspiring. It sets the stage for a good day.

If you were to splurge on one beauty treatment or product, what would it be:

Regular facials. The ones at Joanna Vargas are gloriously indulgent and I always walk out with dewy, glowy skin. SK-II masks or Sisley Black Rose masks are my favorite splurge-worthy products.

Finish this sentence: I never leave the house without __________.

Telling my family I love them.

One word to describe your mornings:

Happy.
