Of all the shoes in my closet, my current favorites are a pair of dark burgundy velvet smoking loafers. They’re everything I want in a shoe: comfortable, feminine, old-world feeling, and a little bit edgy. They’re just plain chic, and that’s the beauty of the loafer. It’s an up-f0r-anything kind of shoe. A shoe that can start out at the book store and end up at Justine’s for an unexpected late night dinner. (That’s exactly what happened to my burgundy pair, and now they’re covered in candle wax.) Good thing we’ve found thirteen new incredible pairs to pick from this year. Tomboys and preppies, eat your heart out!
