As much as I’d love to spend every summer jetting off to St-Tropez or some other fab destination for a week, some years, it’s not in the cards. But even when a summer is spent closer to home, it’s still nice to find ways to channel the breezy, relaxed vibe that comes with a great vacation. Earlier this year, we shared a few tips on how to take a staycation… and I think that the way you dress plays a key role in capturing the getaway vibe, too! Keep reading for a few thoughts on how I’m bringing a little St-Tropez style home with me, as well as a chance to enter to win $500 to spend on your own vacation wardrobe from ASOS!
On Monday, I shared a couple of my favorite looks from our trip — one from a day at the market, the other from a day at the beach. I wore this ensemble (above) for our first evening out: drinks and dinner at the gorgeous Hôtel Villa Belrose where we had our first breathtaking view of the Mediterranean overlooking the cliffs. I wore this white ASOS shift dress with zippers on the sides, and it felt like the perfect mix of classic without being stuffy. When traveling to a beach town, no matter how sophisticated, I never get that dressed up at night. I save the stilettos and sparkles for “city” trips, and instead opt for natural materials, wedges or flat sandals, and looser silhouettes that skim (not hug) the body. Delicate gold jewelry (I wore these bracelets) and a small crossbody bag are finishing touches that feel effortless and cool. Now, for the giveaway!
