Sage is a color that doesn’t make demands. It doesn’t ask you to be bold or make a statement or commit to a “whole new look.” It grounds a room with softness (or an outfit, or a table setting) and makes everything feel a little more… peaceful.
For me, sage feels like a deep breath—and unsurprisingly, it’s widely seen as a symbol of clarity and wisdom. As spring edges closer and I find myself craving clearer spaces, calmer mornings, and a little more intention, I keep coming back to this soothing hue. Not because it’s trendy (though it’s certainly having a moment), but because it does what the best colors do: it creates a feeling without trying too hard.
