So, we reached out to two of our favorite leading dermatologists—Dr. Elizabeth Geddes-Bruce, MD, MS, FAAD of West Lake Dermatology and Dr. Nancy Samolitis, MD, FAAD, co-founder and medical director of FACILE dermatology + boutique—to share the best drugstore skincare products for 40s and we were blown away by their suggestions.
But before we do, let’s just get one thing straight: skincare is personal. Despite all of the expert suggestions or personal recommendations, no one is going to know your skin better than you—or your dermatologist and esthetician. WHY I RECOMMEND IT: “This is a great at-home, on a budget alternative to a medical-grade mild chemical peel. It can be very drying and irritating so be careful when you start it and remember a little goes a long way. But, the benefits are very real.
