These Utilitarian Sandals Prove That The 90’s Are Back

So ugly they’re cute.

File this one under: things we never thought would make a comeback. This season‘s chunky, sporty sandals take me back to sleep-away camp circa ’99. And when paired with the tie-dye and scrunchies we can’t get enough of right now, it would seem that the only difference between my current and 12-year-old self is a mouth full of braces.

The world of fashion has done it again my friends, and just like that, “norm core” sandals are in.

To most, these strappy sandals are objectively ugly, but do we love them just the same? Yup. Next stop, the side bangs and boho bags of 2005, but until then, we’re quite content reliving the 90’s. Below, 13 pairs of utilitarian sandals that are topping our wishlist.
