The Best Tinted Moisturizers

October 3rd, 2016

I know, I know… it’s fall. So, you might expect me to be advising you to switch out the light tinted moisturizer that you wore all summer with a heavier, more opaque foundation in honor of the changing season…right? Well, if you’d like to get your foundation recommendations, you can head right over here. But I have some good news to share: you can stick to tinted moisturizer year-round, and the beauty police won’t ticket you (promise). In fact, skin tints have become so advanced in the past couple of years that the list of reasons to use them over foundation is mile-long: you get a natural finish, SPF protection (usually), a hit of moisture, plus extra benefits such as mattifying, brightening, or smoothing properties. So, if you think of tinted moisturizers as simply being watered-down versions of serious foundations, think again—these creams of the crop will have your complexion glowing this season.

  1. Thanks for the great options. I normally wear foundation and haven’t had much interest in tinted moisturizers for a while. However, my skin has been getting drier over time, so I might have to change things up for the winter.

I’ve been wanting to start using more of a tinted moisturizer instead of a foundation. Thanks for your suggestions! The bareminerals one has been on my list for a while now.

I rarely wear foundation anymore so finding a good tinted moisturizer is always something I’m on the hunt for. Recently I started to use the CC cream from lune + aster, and it’s a must try. I don’t think I’ll ever use anything else. It makes my skin look like I’ve been drinking green juice for months giving off the healthiest looking glow a girl could ask for. I highly recommend grabbing a sample if there is a Blue Mercury near you.
