Giveaway: A Bohemian Mother’s Day Brunch!

By Camille Styles
Bowls from Hello Fresh

We’re lucky to be part of a pretty special and dynamic group of female friends here in Austin. There are so many creative women here doing big things — running their own businesses, writing for major publications, editing video… the list goes on. Some of them also happen to be mothers, and if there’s anything they work harder at than their careers it’s raising their children. This year Camille wanted to celebrate Mother’s Day in style with a few of her favorite mom friends, and celebrate all you amazing mom readers out there with the MOTHER of all shopping sprees! We’ve teamed up with our friends at Cambria Wines, hayneedle.com, and HelloFresh to give you guys everything we used — decor and delicious food — to host a mother’s day brunch in style. Click through the slides to see a few of the unexpected details we put on ours, including a new color palette and a new twist: no kids! And be sure to enter the giveaway just by filling out the form below: it’s a GOOD one.

We decided to forgo predictable pastels this year and create a Mother’s Day table with a bolder, more eclectic vibe. So we broke out our Johnson Brothers Old Britain Castles china plates and placed them on top of ornate gold chargers from Jay Devine for a “gypset travel” inspired table. (You can shop everything we used for the look by checking out our custom styleboard on hayneedle.com.)

The best thing about hosting a sans-kids Mother’s Day brunch? Giving our friends the chance to truly savor a great glass of wine. We served both the Cambria Benchbreak Pinot Noir and the Chardonnay, two of my favorite wines for any party.

It’s just not Mother’s Day without flowers, so our friends at Sweet Magnolia Floral put together some really sweet arrangements for the brunch. We loved the garden roses in delicate shades of cream and white.

I diy-ed this easy canopy from a canvas drop cloth to shade our outdoor table. Instant bohemian glamour!

Our multitalented friends editor Anne Campbell and designer Sarah Wittenbraker shared recent photos of their children while sipping Cambria Benchbreak Chardonnay. Can you believe they are each mothers of three?!

We love the way our bohemian tabletop came together with this blue tunisia print tablecloth by Design Imports. We found so many amazing pieces on Hayneedle.com (including the matching napkins and our blue Fitz and Floyd trestle goblets).

Since one of our guests was vegetarian, we decided to serve up this delicious edamame and sweet potato bowl from HelloFresh. The boxes from Hello Fresh are so much fun and easy to customize or add to with your favorite ingredients.

We served the HelloFresh bowls in one of our handy galvanized round trays from Hayneedle.

Our favorite redhead looked stunning in a dark blue silk gown (you might remember Sarah from her colorful home tour!)

The cereal bowls from the Old Britain Castles china collection were actually the perfect size for our edamame and sweet potato bowls.

Of course we wanted something sweet on the menu, so Camille kept things easy by picking up these delicate french pastries from a local bakery.

The delicate pastries paired perfectly with glasses of Benchbreak Chardonnay.

Our side table was decked out with fresh fruit and this ornate votive collection and tray.

Each guest got to take one of our floral centerpieces home with them after the party — an easy and very appreciated party favor.

We toasted our friends who are vibrant, interesting people — and incredible mothers. Cheers to that!
