With Mother’s Day falling right at the beginning of Summer, I’ll be the first to admit that in the past I’ve been guilty of letting the warm weather distract me from doing right by mama. Thinking up the perfect gift and planning a memorable day can be daunting, so this year our advice is: Don’t overthink it! Getting together is really the most important thing, and if you add on one of these creative and thoughtful DIY projects, you can bet Mom will have the best day ever.
Plan a Mother’s Day picnic in the park, and hand write a special message for Mom inside your paper lunch boxes.
Give a store-bought cake an upgrade by topping it with your mom’s favorite blooms.
Giving Mom a gift card to her favorite shop or restaurant? Make it personal by tucking the card into an sweet envelope made out of a paper doily.
Flowers are always a welcome gift. Give yours a pop of color and pattern by wrapping them in wrapping paper and adding a hand written tag.
For the mom who loves tea, create your own blend with her favorite flavors, then wrap them in unbleached muslin for a DIY tea bag. Add old family photos to the pouch for a fun trip down memory lane.
Help Mom remember her special day by taking instant photos of the celebration, and tucking them away into an envelope for her to keep and enjoy.
Love this! Such a perfect option! New post/ http://www.oliviaschueller.com
These ideas are so lovely and sweet. As I have grown older I have found that my mom loves the company over the gifts, but these heart felt options are the perfect cherry on top. Will use for sure!

These are such cute ideas! I especially love the wrapping on the flowers and the personalized tea bags! Those are so clever!

Sooo wish I could have a Mother’s Day picnic with my mama in the park (or in LA – at the beach!). Unfortunately she’s all the way in Texas, but I get to see her in a few weeks! 🙂
