Bathroom envy is a real thing, people, and if you don’t believe me just take a look at Gabriela Perezutti Hearst’s marble tub on instagram. While I generally prefer a certain level of modesty when it comes to interiors, I’m absolutely and totally cool with over-the-top bathrooms. It’s the one room in the house that’s all about pampering yourself, so it makes perfect sense for a bathroom to be a little bit rock-n-roll. My dream bath is a glossy, candlelit sanctuary with a free standing tub and zero counter clutter. Right now I’m really feeling black and white tile, brass hardware, and unexpected elements like antique rugs or fireplaces. But for those of us who aren’t renovating an entire room, we can always dress up our current space with a plush new set of towels or fresh cut roses for the sink. I’m curious, what bathroom trends are you loving right now?

That gold free-standing tub in the first line is gorgeous! I would love to have that in my bathroom.

As much as I enjoy looking at over the top bathrooms, I love a very simple bathroom. I’m sure I didn’t appreciate the bathroom that was in my parents home while growing up, pedestal sink, claw tub, black and white subway floor tile. Window with a white pair of thin cotton curtains. Now that is a beautiful bathroom. We didn’t have air conditioning so any type of breeze thru that window was much appreciated. I do remember sometimes soaking in the tub in the evening and watching a slight breeze moving the those curtains……ever so lightly. Hmmm love those memories.

That gold tub!! AMAZING. Not sure it would go in my loft, but what a beauty! I like simple, clean, and modern bathrooms. xo Julie
