Where I Live

Lauren Conrad’s Home Is the Definition of California Cool

We’re not in Laguna Beach anymore.

Lauren Conrad house

If there were ever a space that perfectly encapsulates all that is current in home interiors—if not being largely responsible for it—it’s Lauren Conrad’s house. In it, bright whites pair with warm woods seamlessly, antique and modern furniture coexists, and of-the-moment details like open shelving, subway tile, and wide plank flooring are perfected.

Conrad collaborated with interior designer Katherine Carter to strike the perfect balance between beach chic and classic Los Angeles glamour. Located in the heart of the Pacific Palisades, Lauren Conrad’s house is a true retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. She and Carter made the most of the home’s amazing natural light and worked with a neutral color palette that lets the home’s unique architecture shine through.

“I like my living space to feel clean but welcoming,” Conrad tells MyDomaine. “I feel like your home should be a representation of your style.”

Much like the homeowner herself, a tour through the light-filled space serves up the perfect balance of polished and laid-back—California cool, defined. Find a few of our favorites snapshots of LC’s house below, and be sure to head over to MyDomaine to see the rest of the home in all its glory.

Editor’s Note: Lauren Conrad sold this home in 2017.
