So, I’m calling it right now: safari green is my color this summer. It’s on my nails, it’s in my closet, I’ve even gone as far as gifting it to friends and family (whether they share my affinity or not). Of course, the khaki hue is anything but trendy — back in 2009 it inspired Ralph Lauren‘s spring collection (pictured above), and long before that it was established as a classic summertime staple, perfect for enduring blazing heat and looking chic while exploring grasslands. I don’t have any safari adventures on the calendar, but you can bet I’ll be dressing the part with utilitarian separates all summer long.
