New Year’s Day just might be the most underrated holiday – what could be better than kicking off the new year by sharing a meal with a few of your closest friends? To start 2017 on the right foot, we teamed up with Pints and Plates to throw a festive brunch that features a Michelada bar and an easy breezy menu – so I can kick back and enjoy New Year’s Eve, too. Keep scrolling for a sneak peek of a few of our favorite brunch moments, and hop on over to read the full story and get the how-to’s!

This content was created in partnership with Pints and Plates, a beer and food pairing website.

All the makings of the ultimate breakfast sandwich.

Let guests be their own bartender by setting up a make-your-own michelada bar.

Easy breezy accompaniments to our bagel sandwiches: bruléed grapefruit and black-eyed-pea salad (for good luck!)

We’re voting to make these bagel sandwiches the official brunch food of 2017!

Cheers to the best year yet! Head right over here for the full story…

Looks fantastic! But there doesn’t seem to be a link to the Texas black-eyed pea salad recipe on the Pints and Plates site or this one. Any idea where to find it?
